Okay, well, my weekend was pretty good, I guess...
Saturday, we had doughnuts for breakfast/lunch, and then Mom and I went to my aunt's to pick up a couple of pots, but she wasn't there (we came back later). So, we got a salad at Subway for a side for dinner, and headed home. We popped the salad in the fridge, relaxed for a little while, and then went back over to her house, now that she was home. We picked up a couple of pots, and then headed home.
We ended up just chilling for the afternoon, and then we ordered and picked up pizza for dinner, and Mom and I went downstairs and watched Morning Glory, which was really cute. Pretty funny, too. And then, I cleaned Ella's cage, and that was it for the evening.
On Sunday, Mom and I went grocery shopping, and then came home and put everything away. We went back to my aunt's to get another pot (we're planting vegetables this spring) and then we ended up just relaxing for the afternoon. Mom made a chicken tortilla bake for dinner, and we watched Monsters, Inc., which we hadn't seen in years. I forgot how funny it was. Then, I let Ella out and chilled for the rest of the night.
On Monday, I got up, and watched All About Eve, a Best Picture winner, and then came upstairs, had lunch, washed the dishes, and then ended up finishing The Hunger Games, which I had started on Friday, so I pretty much sped through it, it was that good. I seriously couldn't put it down. So, now I'm into that trilogy...and hopefully, once my mom's co-worker (who we borrowed The Hunger Games from) finishes the next one in the series, she'll pass it on to us to read.
Then, Mom came home, and we had a snack and talked, and then she did some prep work for dinner, and relaxed, and then left. Dad came home, and we made pork chops, stuffing, and corn, and ate while we watched the news, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. And then, I washed the dinner dishes, and let Ella out, and then when Mom came home, we watched the Who Do You Think You Are from Friday, which was neat, but not terribly exciting. Gweneth Paltrow was the focus of the episode, by the way. And that was it for the night.
Today, I got up, and ended up downstairs watching a movie I'd already seen before, It's Love I'm After, because I really didn't feel like watching the 3-hour movie I had recorded from last night. So, I deleted it, and rescheduled it to record next week when it comes on again. Anyway, I sat down there until just after 11:00, and came up, and had lunch while I watched the last half hour of the Today show, which wasn't that interesting. Then, I washed the dishes, and now, I'm just sitting in the living room (Quinn has been staying up all night, and he's currently in his room sleeping, so I didn't want to wake him by typing and listening to music and all that).
Tonight, I guess we're just going to be chilling out. Mom should be home soon, and I think we're having a baked ziti thing for dinner, so I guess I'll be helping put that together. Probably just watching tv tonight, letting Ella out, and then watching Parenthood when Mom gets home. The next few days should probably be the same.

Just Another Day...
Okay, let's see...Thursday was pretty much normal. I watched Kitty Foyle, which was good. And that was pretty much it...
Today was pretty much the same. I watched Annie Hall, which was another Best Picture winner, so I think I'm up to 36 out of 83, so almost halfway. Mom came home late, and I had french onion soup for lunch, and then we went over to Target for a few items...hand soap, allergy medicine for Quinn, and cosmetics for Mom. I went along just to get out of the house. And what do you know, I bought (well, Mom bought it for me) a swimsuit. Okay, I'm an idiot to buy a swimsuit in April, when it's still 50 degrees out and I'm not even close to thinking about summer. But whatever.
I don't know if I like it yet or not...Mom said it looked cute on me. It still sorta bugs me that the top and bottom don't match...and yet they do. So, I'm keeping the receipt, and if I really don't like them, I can return them.

Nothing Much To Talk About...
Okay, here goes another recap...
So, Tuesday...let's see, I woke up, I got ready, I went downstairs and watched In Which We Serve, which was pretty good. I went back upstairs, I washed the dishes, I did my homework, and then I got on the computer. Which got me started on a Sony Vegas video, that I ended up pretty much finishing that day...probably uploading it to YouTube on Sunday. Anyway, Mom came home, and we chilled, and then she left for work. Dad came home, and we made spaghetti and meatballs, and watched some tv. And I let Ella out, and then when Mom came home, we watched Parenthood, while I dug into a container of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, which I had never had before. It's delicious, by the way. :)
Anyway, today was about the same. I got up, got ready, went downstairs and watched Wife vs. Secretary, which was neat, then came upstairs, had lunch, washed the dishes, did my homework, and got on the computer. Mom came home, and we had a snack together and chilled, and then she started work on some of the dinner stuff before going to work. I finished up the dinner stuff (pulling the chicken pie out of the oven, heating the veggies), and then Dad and Granny came home, and we had dinner, and creampuffs for dessert. Then, we watched some tv, and Dad and Quinn took Granny home while I washed the dinner dishes.
Now, I'm sitting downstairs while Ella runs around. Mom and I are going to watch Criminal Minds when she gets home from work, so I've got some time to kill.
Um, what else do I want to talk about? Well, nothing really. So, I guess that's the end of my post...a short one, but a post nonetheless.

All Sorts Of Things To Talk About...
So, well, let's see if I can remember everything that happened this weekend...
I got up late on Saturday morning, and Mom and I had our normal Dunkin' Donuts breakfast/lunch. Then, we went over to my aunt's house to feed the cats (that aren't really hers...they just hang around the yard), and empty the skimmer baskets in the pool, since she was out of town for the weekend. Then, we came home, and chilled for a couple of hours, and then Mom, Quinn, and I went out for dinner.
We stopped at Office Depot and Best Buy on the way, neither of which carried laptop batteries nor could give us any advice on the best one to order. So, we headed up to Red Lobster, and fortunately, didn't have to wait for a table. We were sitting there, talking, and somehow, we determined that we hadn't been in over a year...the last time I remember going was the afternoon after I finished my last in-car session.
Anyway, we ordered our food, and talked, and ate. I had the shrimp linguini alfredo, which was really good. And then, we ate and talked some more, and then left, and by that time, the restaurant was really busy and there were a ton of people waiting in the lobby for tables. So, we left, and drove over to my grandmother's to visit, and pick up the information Mom needed to do Granny's taxes. And then, we ended up stopping at Lowes Foods on the way home and picking up a couple of slices of chocolate cake.
We got home, and I cleaned Ella's cage, and then Mom and I had our dessert and watched Crazy Heart, which was pretty good. Then, we pretty much went to bed...
On Sunday, we got up, and Mom and I went to my aunt's again to feed the cats and check the skimmer baskets, and then we headed to the grocery store to do the shopping for the week. We came home, had lunch, and then Mom and Quinn left to go to Gamestop and Target, and I stayed home, and ended up glued to the couch for the evening. ABC Family was running a ton of movies, so I watched Serendipity, Miss Congeniality, Practical Magic, and Grease. So, I was on the couch from about noon to 9:30. Dad came home about 1:30 or so, with all sorts of pink stuff, and crashed on the couch with me for the evening. Anyway, then I went downstairs and let Ella out, and that was pretty much it.
Today, I got up, got ready, and went out into the kitchen to pull the slow-cooker pot out of the fridge to let it come to room temperature. And, to my surprise, it was snowing outside. I seriously did a double take looking out the kitchen window. At first, I thought it was the white petals from the Bradford Pear trees that line the back of our yard, because last week, as they petals were being blown off, we kept joking that it was snowing. But then, I realized it was honest-to-goodness snow. Super wet snow, but still snow, and it was sticking to the bushes and our deck chairs and everything. So, I got a couple of pictures before the rained washed it away.
So, anyway, I went downstairs, and ended up watching Wings, which was pretty cool. It was the very first Best Picture winner, and the only silent film to win in that category. It was actually kinda neat, a little confusing (it took me a while to figure out which side was which...it's a war movie, by the way), but other than that, I liked it. The aerial scenes were amazing...I was reading the trivia section on IMDB, and the actors actually flew the planes. They took off, got the plane up in the air, turned on the motorized camera, acted out their scene/part, and then landed the plane. Pretty cool.
Anyway, I when it was over (I had already had lunch and put the dinner in the slow-cooker), I came upstairs, washed the dishes, and then did my homework. Mom came home as I was finishing up, and we just chilled for a little while. We had coffee at about 3:00, and then I went into my room and played around on the computer until Mom left and Dad came home. We had boneless BBQ pork ribs (which was what was in the slow-cooker), mashed potatoes, and salad for dinner, and then Dad, Quinn, and I watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I did the dishes after that, and then I went downstairs to let Ella out.
So, I've been having a time of it with my computer. My battery is dying, so we're in the process of trying to figure out which replacement battery to get. We went onto Dell's website, and found one with the correct "WH" capacity (whatever that is), but it looks like it's bigger than the one I have, and there's another that has a different "WH", which looks the right size. So, we emailed Dell to ask, and we're waiting for an answer.
And not only is my battery dying, Sony Vegas has been giving me fits. I have this neat idea for a video, and I've been using a YouTube downloader to get the clips I need, and Sony Vegas has not been recognizing the clips I've been saving. So, I finally found a way around it today, but it's taking twice as long because I have to download the clip, then convert it to a different file type, which I hadn't been having to do before with Sony Vegas.
But anyway, enough about all that stuff. Not much on the agenda for the next few days...

Chilling Out With Some Movies This Week...
So, it's been pretty normal around here, I guess...
On Thursday morning, Dad left for Fort Worth, and then I got ready for the day. I ended up going downstairs and watching Guys and Dolls, which was really...well, interesting. It was one of those things film bloggers call a "splashy, obnoxious '50's musical" or something to that extreme. Frank Sinatra was cool as always, and Marlon Brando...well, he's handsome, that's a given, but a song-and-dance-man? Not really... But anyway, I digress.
So, when I finished watching that, I came upstairs and worked on my schoolwork, and then just chilled for the afternoon. Mom came home, and we talked for a bit, and then she left for work, and Quinn and I had dinner, watched the news and a couple of game shows, and then laughed our way through Wipeout. And then, I let Ella out, and when Mom came home, we watched 30 Rock and The Office, which were pretty funny.
Today, I woke up late, after some pretty intense dreaming (something about being at Hanes, and then another where I was part of a big tour group or class field trip or whatever, and we ended up weathering a storm at somebody's humongous house...). Anyway, I got ready, and then played around on the computer until Mom came home from her half-day at work. We had Taco Bell for lunch, and then Mom and I went downstairs and watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which she hadn't seen in forever and I wanted to see because it's a Best Picture winner. And it was quite some movie. It was funny, sad, dramatic...all in one. So, I pretty much loved it.
Then, we came upstairs and chilled and relaxed, and then Mom left for her other job, and Quinn and I had dinner, watched the news and gameshows, and then I went downstairs to watch another Best Picture winner, Going My Way, which was really good. Of course, give me pretty much any film in which Bing Crosby sings, and I'm hooked... Anyway, I liked it, and it killed a couple hours, and I got to check off another Best Picture winner, so I'm happy.
I let Ella out while I was watching the movie, so when Mom came home, we watched Who Do You Think You Are, which was pretty good, had a snack, and then said goodnight and went to bed.
Tomorrow, we're just chilling for the day, and then going to Red Lobster for an early dinner. And that's pretty much it.

I Think I Might Be Dress-Obsessed...
Okay, quick recap of the past few days...Tuesday was normal, as usual, and I got to watch All Quiet on the Western Front, another Best Picture winner, so that was cool. Good movie, but I'm not a big fan of war films, so it wasn't really my cup of tea, so to speak.
Today, Mom stayed home from work, and the two of us went for a walk this morning, then came home and chilled. We made dinner, and then Mom left, and I finished up all the cooking. Dad came home with Granny, and the four of us had dinner (we had this really awesome slow-cooker chicken cacciatore over spaghetti with salad and garlic bread, with brownies for dessert). Then, we watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and then Dad and Quinn took Granny home while I washed the dishes. I let Ella out after that, and then Mom came home, and we watched Modern Family and pretty much went to bed.

Um, anything else? Not really much else going on...Dad is leaving for Fort Worth in the morning, so he'll be gone for a couple of days, but other than that, nothing.

I Love When My Room Smells Like Daffodils...
No, I'm not kidding...we have these gorgeous Tahitian Daffodils in the backyard, and Mom and I went out and cut a few for the kitchen table and a couple for my room... So every time I walk by, or I'm sitting at my desk, and the air blows just right, I catch a whiff of this wonderful scent of spring, and for whatever reason, it just makes me feel good.
So, anyway, now that my flower tangent is over with, I can report on the last two days. Not much actually, but we did go to the grocery store on Sunday, and then we came home, chilled, and ended up having burgers for dinner, which were awesomely good. Give me a cheeseburger with some ketchup and some chopped onion, with a scoop of potato salad on the side, and a cold soda, and I'm a happy gal.
Anyway, so we had dinner, and watched The Kids Are All Right, which Mom got through Netflix, and we all kinda-sorta liked it. It was good in the way that all couples, no matter homosexual or heterosexual, go through the same problems, the same temptations, that sort of thing. I wish the plot had been a little more interesting, with maybe a little more confrontation or something...and I'm going to speak bluntly here and say that the sex scenes (not that it was anything really explicit) and porn tapes were a bit much, and I definitely could have done without them, considering I was sitting there with my mom and dad. Awkward much? Lol. But that's what I get for watching an R-rated movie...
Anywho, now that I'm done ranting...today was kinda boring. I got up, watched a movie...Going Hollywood, starring Bing Crosby and Marion Davies, which wasn't all that interesting...then had lunch, did my chemistry work (because that's the only thing I haven't finished yet for the year...we're testing the week of April 11th, I think). And then, Mom came home, and we went to the post office, and came home, and then went for a walk. And then we chilled at home, and Mom left for HBI and Dad came home, and we had dinner, and watched tv, and then I let Ella out and watched the season finale of Pretty Little Liars, which was really good.
Ooh, random thing...Mom and I went for a walk on Friday, I think, and we took a different path down by the stream, and as we were coming back up via a different path, we crossed over a bridge, and the water beneath it was all covered with algae and gunk, and I got to explain to my mom about aerobic and anaerobic bacteria (which I had just read about in my chemistry textbook), and our walk turned into a chemistry lesson, which was pretty cool. And I just realized I'm such a nerd...lol.
So, anyway, not much else going on. Dad is going to Fort Worth for a few days for work, so he'll leave Thursday morning and come back Sunday afternoon. So, I think Mom, Quinn, and I are going to either Red Lobster or Olive Garden on Saturday. And with Dad gone, that means on Thursday and Friday, Quinn and I will be home alone for the evenings while Mom works, so that should be interesting.

So, I know, like, nobody reads the crap that I write anyway, so can I say that I kinda hope this horoscope comes true?
Okay, I seriously have to get off of here, before I pour out my whole life's story and all the emotions that go with it...which you do not want to read. So...bye! :)
So, anyway, now that my flower tangent is over with, I can report on the last two days. Not much actually, but we did go to the grocery store on Sunday, and then we came home, chilled, and ended up having burgers for dinner, which were awesomely good. Give me a cheeseburger with some ketchup and some chopped onion, with a scoop of potato salad on the side, and a cold soda, and I'm a happy gal.
Anyway, so we had dinner, and watched The Kids Are All Right, which Mom got through Netflix, and we all kinda-sorta liked it. It was good in the way that all couples, no matter homosexual or heterosexual, go through the same problems, the same temptations, that sort of thing. I wish the plot had been a little more interesting, with maybe a little more confrontation or something...and I'm going to speak bluntly here and say that the sex scenes (not that it was anything really explicit) and porn tapes were a bit much, and I definitely could have done without them, considering I was sitting there with my mom and dad. Awkward much? Lol. But that's what I get for watching an R-rated movie...
Anywho, now that I'm done ranting...today was kinda boring. I got up, watched a movie...Going Hollywood, starring Bing Crosby and Marion Davies, which wasn't all that interesting...then had lunch, did my chemistry work (because that's the only thing I haven't finished yet for the year...we're testing the week of April 11th, I think). And then, Mom came home, and we went to the post office, and came home, and then went for a walk. And then we chilled at home, and Mom left for HBI and Dad came home, and we had dinner, and watched tv, and then I let Ella out and watched the season finale of Pretty Little Liars, which was really good.
Ooh, random thing...Mom and I went for a walk on Friday, I think, and we took a different path down by the stream, and as we were coming back up via a different path, we crossed over a bridge, and the water beneath it was all covered with algae and gunk, and I got to explain to my mom about aerobic and anaerobic bacteria (which I had just read about in my chemistry textbook), and our walk turned into a chemistry lesson, which was pretty cool. And I just realized I'm such a nerd...lol.
So, anyway, not much else going on. Dad is going to Fort Worth for a few days for work, so he'll leave Thursday morning and come back Sunday afternoon. So, I think Mom, Quinn, and I are going to either Red Lobster or Olive Garden on Saturday. And with Dad gone, that means on Thursday and Friday, Quinn and I will be home alone for the evenings while Mom works, so that should be interesting.
Haha, speaking of interesting, I love my horoscope for April from Seventeen Magazine: "You've had you're eye on the same guy for forever, and your BFF is pushing you to make a move. When all three of you are hanging out around the 12th, she'll let it "slip" you like him. Awkward! But once he knows you're into him, he'll see you in a new way. This may lead to something big!"
